Over the Summer of 2021, May - August, I worked as an intern at Covington Clay and utilized resources provided for me by the studio to create a collection of pieces inspired primarily by themes of nature. I pulled symbols and motifs from nature and utilized elements of texture, pattern, and color to reference the original material of the functional ware - clay. I wanted there to be a clear fluidity to my pieces as well as a clear indication of form and material.
