Over the Spring of 2022, January - April, I returned to Covington Clay to work as an intern once again. This collection is heavily focused on material, utilizing heavily slipped details, black wax resist linework, and underglaze accents. I was inspired by mugs seen on the set of the tv show Gilmore girls, which led to a spiral of research focused on handprinted work with fruit and vegetable imagery. This work was meant to feel cozy and homey, with reference to kitchen space, sustenance, and abundance. I was also able to explore form more freely, directing myself to larger mugs, stacking jars, and wider bowls.
